Beauty Resolutions

Have you made your Beauty Resolutions this year?

The beginning of every year is a great time to make changes in your life. Here are some simple resolutions that are easy to apply.

DeClutter your Make-up Bag. You know, out with the old, in with the new. How long have you had that mascara or cheek color in your make-up bag? Remember to throw away your mascara about every 3 months. Create a new look this year with our NEW Color Looks! Experiment with new eye and cheek colors to give you that WOW feeling.

Schedule a skin cancer screening. If you've never had a skin cancer screening this is the perfect time to schedule one. We all know that skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S. Designate a month for an annual appointment with your dermatologist. Early detection saves lives!

Commit to a skin care regimen. When you're using a great skin care regimen you'll see the difference in how your skin looks and feels. Now this doesn't happen overnight, it's with long term use that the results will appear. Be patient!

Pick that perfect shade of foundation. You have the perfect skin care regimen and now it's time to pick that perfect shade of foundation that looks GREAT on YOU! As seasons change so does the shade of our foundation.

First you want proper lighting to pick your perfect shade. Daylight is the most ideal condition. Stand next to a window to apply the foundation along your jaw line, NOT on your arm, hand or face. The right one will vanish into your skin. You'll want your foundation to match your neck even if your neck is slightly darker than your face.

A matte finish will be HOT this spring so you'll want to be sure and try our NEW Mineral Foundation to get that perfect look!

Beauty Trends For Fall

This fall it's all about rich colors of wine and burgundy lips. The key here is balancing the face. Keep the eyes lighter and let your lips sing!

Less on the cheeks - lots of color to the cheeks is NOT in this fall. So sweep on a neutral shade to give your cheeks a slight bit of color.

Fuller Looking Eyebrows - apply a bit of brow pencil using upward strokes and sweep over them with a clear brow gel.

Gold shimmering eye color - with an eye color brush sweep on gold eye color from the lid to the crease of your eye. Next smudge the same color under the lower lashes with a Q-tip.

Liquid eyeliner is making a come back - after applying your eye color liquid eyeliner is your next step. Apply slightly to upper lashes, never to the bottom. Liquid liner on the bottom lashes never looks natural. If you have trouble applying liquid eyeliner start by applying little dashes as you move across the eye, then go back and trace over the lines.

Simply flawless skin - start with a liquid foundation and follow-up with a loose translucent powder to give your skin a soft matte look.

If you shy away from dark shades of color on your lips apply lip color with your finger tips. This will stain your lips and give you a more natural look. Top it off with a bit of lip balm.

Finish your look this fall with mascara, apply to both top and bottom lashes.

Morning Makeup Routine

Master your morning make-up routine in 5 minutes!
A well-edited set of flattering everyday neutrals will bring out your personal best and get you out the door in no time.

Step 1: Prep the eyelid by blotting on primer for longer-lasting color.

Step 2: Streamline your makeup by using shell and chestnut brown eyeshadows, a combination that complements almost everyone's complexion. Brighten the eye by applying the lighter shade all over the lid. Stay right above the lashes, and don't forget the inner corner. Keep it neat. After dipping your brush in the pot, lightly tap the brush to remove excess pigment.

Step 3: Apply the darker color in a windshield-wiper motion right into the crease.

Step 4: Apply mascara. Wiggle the wand at the base of the lashes and then pull up. This creates a subtle intensity at the lashline so you can leave out the extra step of lining your eyes. Plus, it creates a cleaner stroke through the lashes to minimize clumping.

Step 5: Brush on blush right at the apples of your cheeks for a pretty, fresh look. Gone are the days of sweeping it up to meet the temples.

Step 6: Dab on a peachy gloss. Find an ultra-sheer formula so you can apply it without a mirror if you're in a rush.
